Action Plan
The Action Plan category in a sense follows the Site Preparation menu this area. The menu is meant to represent the action you take in your garden after completing the ideas introduced in the your preparation. This area of activity can be effected by factors outside the garden such as personal desires to change your diet, and therefore change the foods you grow or a change in the local marketplace if you are growing any of your food for sale or trade
Systems Attempts to identify systems within the garden and nature itself which, once properly understood, can be both monitored and manipulated to insure desired outcomes Clearly understand the behavior of particular plants will be key in trying to create the conditions for maximum success for those plants and the Plant menu attempts to outline that information Here we are attempting to identify broader systems such as water, recycling nutrients, and even when to plant and harvest different categories of crops
Overlap with Site Preparation As we have tried to explain we are trying to make a distinction on how you plan your garden in the Site Preparation Menu and then separately try to outline the actual planting and maintenance of your garden or farm. One example of this occurs when in the Action Plan section we approach the question of how you might orient rows of plants However if in your planning design you created a landscape that utilized keyhole designs, or other designs that are mot amenable to large areas of linear rows
