There are two main divisions to address the general category of acquiring and utilizing information. Both rely on a generalized understanding as our community as a distinct unit of some sort which information is translated in some way from an 'outside' source. This circumstance depends on the notion that communities will choose to access and store information in a way different than present commonplace understandings The distinction is not meant to be absolute, but it helps to elucidate what are the somewhat separate ideas of seeking out information and then organizing it within local systems of organization, interpretation and eventually application in some cases. This section is of course entitled accessing information so it refers to the seeking out of information from sources outside the community Other key backdrop elements clearly play a role in the process ,such as the intention of individuals in regard to what type of information they are seeking out and what the end aim of such intentions are
