Growing Practice-
Site Preparation Takes into the existing terrain, soil, existing vegetation, etc combined with what changes you want to make those elements in order to prepare your growing space for the plants you intend to grow
Tools and Inputs Includes the tools and equipment it takes to prepare your growing space as well as maintaining it during the growing seasons. Inputs includes all the elements you will need to import into your growing space. This would include all types of soil amendments, composts, mulches, water, seeds, insecticides. there can be a bit of in between zone in things like gopher traps which are technically a tool. Inputs are generally free substances of some sort.
Action Plan and Maintenance This includes the plans and strategies one develops for their growing space, as well as various natural cycles that occur throughout the change of seasons, pest problems, strategies for utilizing structures and other products designed for changing conditions in the growing space, for example tying of plants on lattices or using frost cloth. A third main topic in this section is re-purposing so called waste products not utilizable inputs for the growing space. This would include activities such as gathering seed, creating compost from garden waste, etc
Foraging and Wildcrafting While technically not growing food, this somewhat of an outlier category is mostly associated with this category
